Christmas Returns Policy
We have extended our returns policy for the Christmas period. Any goods purchased on our website after 1st November 2012 can be returned for a full refund until January 12th 2013. Apart from the extended dates our standard returns policy applies
Standard Returns Policy
Full refunds will be given on all goods if the goods are returned in original condition with all original swing tags intact and attached. The goods must be returned within 14 days of the date of receipt by yourself. We fully comply with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 set up to protect you the consumer when making on-line purchases.
Goods returned after this date can be exchanged or credited up to 28 days from receipt of the goods. If you choose the Credit option we will keep your details on record and issue you with a unique credit reference which should be quoted when you next order from us. Send the credit reference to us via e-mail when you place your next order on-line.
Goods Returned for exchange of a different size or colour etc will be subject to postage charges for us to re-deliver them to you a second time. This will be at a flat rate of £3.95 and you card details should be filled in accordingly on the returns form that will accompany your invoice. For security reasons, do not include your address details with your card information as it is the combination of these two details that retailers use to process mail order transactions (we will already have your address on record). If goods are being returned for exchange through no fault of your own (we have sent a wrong size etc.) then no postal fees shall apply.
Special Orders - All items ordered into stock from a supplier, that are not available on our website, to specificly fulfill your order at your request are non-refundable or returnable.

|Making A Purchase By submitting your order, you are offering to buy the goods and allowing us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying those goods (including passing your personal details onto couriers and other subcontractors). Personal details can be removed from our system by written request.|
Our Website's inventory, unless stated, is based on in stock items at all times. In the event that the item you have ordered is out of stock you will be informed and your card will be refunded immediatly or we will pre-allocate an item from the next delivery as long as this falls within our promised delivery schedule. In the event that we can supply the item but not within our specified time scales we will inform you and allow you to choose whether or not the delay is acceptable. No property or title of the goods shall pass from Sail And Ski Ltd to the customer until payment has been received in full.
When you order a pair of skis and request that your bindings be fitted to your boots prior to delivery by providing us with the relevant details we advise that you have the bindings double checked to your exact boots by a trained technician.

It is at the discretion of our couriers whether or not to leave a parcel without obtaining a signature if this is requested by the customer|
UK (EXCL CHANNEL ISLANDS)
ORDERS UNDER £50 (3-5 DAYS) - £1.99
All orders under £50 have a flat rate delivery charge of £1.99. Deliveries will be sent out using Royal Mail (or courier for large or bulky items) and typically arrive within 3-5 working days from when the order was placed.
FREE DELIVERY ON ORDERS OVER £50 (3-5 DAYS)
All orders of £50 or more come with FREE delivery as standard, delivery typically takes 3-5 working days from when the order was placed.
TRACKABLE COURIER SERVICE (2-3 DAYS) - £3.99
We offer a trackable courier service for £3.99. Orders place with Trackable Courier Service typically arrive in 2-3 days and are trackable online. Your tracking number will be sent to you once your order is dispatched.
COURIER DELIVERY + PRIORITY DISPATCH (1-2 DAYS) - £5.99
For £5.99 we offer a courier delivery and priority dispatch option. Orders placed with this option will be sent out as fast as possible using UK MAIL or CITY LINK. Delivery will typically arrive 1-2 working days from when the order was placed.
SATURDAY DELIVERY - £11.99
We can offer Saturday Delivery to mainland UK (excluding Highlands) for £11.99. All orders for Saturday Delivery must be placed by 2pm on Friday. All Saturday Deliveries will be sent out for delivery on the following Saturday, if you require delivery on the following week then please let us know by either emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or stating so in the "Special Delivery Instructions" box when placing your order.
FREE DELIVERY (2-5 DAYS - excludes large or heavy items)
Most deliveries to the Channel Islands are FREE and typically arrive within 2-5 days from when the order was placed. Any charges for heavy items will be shown in the checkout.
LARGE OR HEAVY ITEMS (2-5 DAYS) - £16.99
There is £16.99 charge to send large or heavy items to the Channel Islands, this includes skis, snowboards, travel bags/wheeled ski and snowboard bags, boots.
VAT ON CHANNEL ISLAND ORDER
VAT will automatically be deducted from your basket total when placing an order being delivered within the Channel Islands.
Delivery charges throughout Europe will vary dependent on the weight of your order. The accumulative weight of your order will be added together when calculating the delivery cost of your order. To see the exact delivery cost of your order add all the items you require to your basket and start the checkout process, after entering your delivery address the delivery cost will be calculated. PLEASE NOTE you will only ever pay the price of the heaviest item shown on the below table as a maximum amount. E.g. if you are ordering skis and a ski jacket, you will only pay the price shipping cost of the skis as this is the maximum in the table.
We are happy to deliver to BFPO addresses using our usual UK delivery methods and couriers.
Please note, however, that we are only responsible for delivery to the BFPO depot in the UK. Movement of goods between there and your location is the responsibility of the BFPO and we are not liable for losses after this point.
Certain BFPO addresses are eligible for VAT free sales.
We do, however, require that VAT is paid with your order and, if applicable, we shall then refund this.
BFPO OUTSIDE EU
If your BFPO address is outside the EU, your VAT is eligble for refund and this refund will be processed upon our checking the details of your BFPO address against the British Forces list at http://www.bfpo.mod.uk/bfponumbers_static.htm
BFPO INSIDE THE EU
Certain BFPO locations within the EU are eligible for VAT free sales.
Before we can issue a VAT refund for an order dispatched to a BFPO address which is within the EU, UK VAT legislation requires us to obtain a "certificate of entitlement" confirming that the items have been shipped to and received by a qualifying body or person as set out in paragraph 14.2 of HM Revenue and Customs Notice 725 dated December 2009.
We can accept a copy of the order receipt which was dispatched with the item(s), signed and stamped by the head or acting head of the embassy, high commission, consulate, visiting force contingent or international organisation, with evidence of the official status of the signatory.
For goods which are shipped to BFPO customers in Cyprus or Germany, we require a certificate from the person placing the order uniquely identifying the supply for which relief is claimed, and claiming entitlement as follows:
- for British forces in Cyprus - under Article 14(1)(g) of EC Council Directive 77/388/EEC, or
- for a visiting force in Germany - under Article 15(10) of EC Council Directive 77/388/EEC.
We require this certificate in accordance with Section 14 of HM Revenue and Customs Notice 725 dated December 2009. If this certificate is not supplied, we cannot make a refund.

BRITISH FORCES GERMANY
1. Order your goods, paying in full including VAT.
2. Get a BFG 60 from your BFG/Tax Free office office (it's the same form for importing cars).
3. Send the form off to JHQ (BFG office will do it for you) with a stamped addressed envelope.
4. You will be issued with a Form 80, which is your entitlement form.
5. Go back to your BFG/Tax free office and they will issue you with a completed exemption certificate.
6. Make photocopies of all your documents (for your records) and send the exemption certificate to our address above.
7. We shall refund the VAT back, to your original payment card on receipt of the completed documents.
|Tax Charges For orders made from the UK, 20% VAT is inclusive. Order from areas exempt from VAT such as the Channel Islands / Norway etc. may contact us to have the VAT deducted from the total of their order. This must be done by e-mail or telephone.|
|Credit Card Security In order to protect ourselves and our customers from the growing problem of credit card fraud we have installed software that processes your details to analyze fraud risk. This acts as an advisory measure only to us on the risk of the transaction being fraudulant and in nearly all cases the result comes back as "no risk". If the risk comes back as higher than this we may contact you to verify details and we may also send a letter to your billing address asking you to contact us regarding the order. We do apologise if this slows down your delivery but we feel most customers will understand us looking after their card security|
No credit card numbers ever reach us through our website. Our payment gateway is provided by SAGEPAY utilising the most up to date security features available to any website. To refund payments we simply request that SAGEPAY reverse the original transaction
|Guarantee Products are not supplied on a trial basis. Hardware products are covered by their respective manufacturer's warranties. Warranty details and length are included with the product but will be a minimum of 12 months.|
